Words of Nigel De Jong.

Me a leader?, It’s tough to say, it should be the others who say it. I’m enjoying my football at the moment and I think I can become important for the team and that’s the most important thing. We have a couple of leaders in the team but for me the important thing is how we work for each other and we always give 100% in that, whether we play at home or away.”

“I think that at the moment we’re stronger as a team thanks to the arrivals of Kakà and Matri. It’s a shame that we have a couple of injuries in defense but in a couple of weeks’ time we should be over that and all players will be available. Then  we’ll be even stronger than we are at the moment. What matters is that the new arrivals are integrated well into the group. We just have to keep working every day.”
“I was unhappy not to be with the international side but like said it’s important for the new players to integrate well so it was important to train with Matri. The training we’ve done is to practice the movements that we make during the matches. I’ll be back with the national side but these training sessions in the past week have been important.”
“Both Matri and Kakà need to get back match fitness but they’re working well. It’s easy for players to come into our squad as we’re a relaxed group and very positive. It’s like being part of a family, so there’re no problems.”
“We have young players with more experienced ones which makes for a good team. We have great coaches too. Everyone knows their role in the team. It’s not just a team of 11 players, there are 23 of us. That makes for good training sessions as you can feel the serenity. Obviously, when it’s time to work hard, that’s what we do.”
Muntari? Sulley knows the Italian league and he’s a great player, very important for the team and always gives 100% in training. And when you do that in training, you do it in matches as well.”
“We dropped three important points in Verona and we have to get them back as soon as we can if we want to be in the top three. We’ll be playing to win on Saturday in Turin. The team is okay at the moment and all the players are back from international duty. We’ll do well from now on starting on Saturday.”
